What is data?
- Data is a raw material
- Data dose not takes decision
- Data is an input.
What is Information?
- Information is a processed data
- The final output is called the information
- Allows us to take decision and initiate action.
I know it's hard to byheart, so let me explain with a example,
Example of data:
A housewife who buys Milk, Vegetables, and the daily essential things are noted in a book
and here the data is expense. The expense she have spent on it is written in a book.

Data Stored Processing data Information
Here the expense becomes the data, as i said before data is a raw material.
Data entered the book can be processed in other ways also, Let me tell you how.
As you see the above flowchart, this ensure us to find the total amount spent on milk.
Only when data is processed and the output is in readable manner they become useful.
Sometimes data becomes very meaning full.
For eg: 560012 when you see the number what comes to your mind. I hope it is a pincode or Telephone number.
So, data becomes meaning full even it is a raw material.
