 Let me give a brief explanation about computer and its gadgets:

I have separated into five section, first let's see a brief explanation about Keyboard.

• Keyboard

One of the major part in PC is keyboard.

A keyboard has 26 english letters, 10 digits, several special characters such as +, - and control keys, 12 function keys which allow us to enter the program.

A keyboard is an input unit.

• Video display unit (VDU)

Video display unit or VDU it's also called as Monitor.

Yes, you are right PC screen or TV screen.

Normally the size should be 15" diagonal.

Mostly it will be in colour screen where we can display all processed like Image data, Text data, Numeric data, Video data, Audio data.

In computers we can see small icons we call it as GUI (Graphical user interphase).

• Mouse

 Mouse has a left button and right button. We use mouse to do quick command.

Mouse is a input device.

• CPU

A separate box is kept out called as CPU central processing unit. The main memory, secondary memory and power supply is in CPU.

CPU has number of ports, where we can connect external drive like Microphone, chargers etc., 

CPU is a microprocessor kept above the motherboard.

NIF (Network interface unit ) , sound card and graphic card are all mounted on motherboard.

• Secondary storage

secondary storage are nothing but non volatile.

Secondary storage such as Pen drive, CDROM, DVDROM are secondary storage.

Even with power supply the information is stored in the device.

• External device 

External device such as scanner, printer, microphone speaker, soundcard, graphic card.

Webcam.

These are external device.

• OS (Operating System)

Most of the computer comes with OS nowadays. 

OS such as Windows which is made by Microsoft corporation. 

Linux/GNU is a free OS, you can download from Web.
